White Star Quarry (419)334-4495 WEBSITE


    Take the Ohio Turnpike (Rt. 80) west to exit 81 (Rt. 51). Turn left (south). Follow to Rt. 20 west (turn right), continue until you reach 300 South (turn left onto Rt. 300). Rt. 300 will take you through the town of Gibsonburg. The quarry will be about ½ mile outside of Gibsonburg, on the left hand side. Entrance fee is $15.00; camping is available. Air fills $7.00 each. Approx. 1:45 hours from Buckeye.


Gilboa Quarry (419)456-3300 WEBSITE


    Take Ohio Turnpike west to exit 6 (Rt. 53). Go 4 miles south on Rt. 53 to Rt. 6. Turn right on Rt. 6 (west). Continue west to I-75 and take I-75 south to Rt. 224. Turn right onto 224 (west) and go approximately 15 miles, turn left at the brown cow (no joke). At the first traffic light turn right. The quarry will be just outside of town on your left-hand side. Entrance fee is $12.00, camping available. Approx. 3 hours from Buckeye.

    Take the Ohio Turnpike (Rt. 80 west) to exit 6 (Rt. 53). Continue on Rt. 53 south to Rt. 6 west, turn right. Take Rt. 6 west to State Rt. 25 (approx. 30 miles). Turn left on Rt. 25; the quarry will be approx. 1 mile down on the right hand side. Entrance fee is $7.00; camping available. Approx. 2 hours from Buckeye.


Nelson Ledges Quarry (216)944-9992 WEBSITE


    Take Rt. 422 east from Rt. 271 or Rt. 480. It will go from a 4 lane to a 2-lane highway. Follow 422 through Auburn Corners and across La Due Reservoir to Parkman. Go straight through Parkman and continue to Rt. 282. Turn right onto Rt. 282 and travel through Nelson Ledges State Park. Look for the chain link fence on your right hand side. The quarry will be just after the fence (on right); if you come to an east-west cross road, you went too far. Entrance fee is $4.00; camping is available. Approx. 45 minutes from Buckeye.
